Bedside imaging. Comprehensive support from nerve blocks to peri-operative monitoring.

An integrated imaging solution supporting guided blocks, line placement, gastric volume and cardiac assessment.

Nerve block guidance for more control over regional procedures.

Butterfly iQ+ provides in-pocket accessibility for nerve block guidance thanks to high-fidelity B-mode, as well as Needle Viz™ developed specifically for procedural support. Ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks have been associated with higher success rates than traditional anatomic techniques1.

Perform guided procedures with ease with new Biplane Imaging™.

Now with the world’s first POCUS Biplane Imaging, it is possible to see the short and long axis of your needle simultaneously in real-time. Biplane Imaging has been built to support regional nerve blocks, peripheral IV access, pain management injections, and more. Studies show that ultrasound guidance can improve success rates, reduce the number of attempts and decrease the complications associated with CVC insertion2.

Rapid TTE.

A focused bedside transthoracic echocardiogram performed by anaesthesiologists has been shown to accurately detect significant cardiovascular pathology and impact perioperative management3. Utility includes assessment of global cardiac function, as well as point-of-care shock assessment.

Pre-operative gastric status.

Butterfly iQ+, with imaging developed in partnership with anaesthesiology, can help the clinician identify gastric contents. Even in fasted patients, residual gastric content has been associated with complications of pulmonary aspiration, leading to up to 9% of anaesthesia-related deaths4. By identification of "gastric fullness" at the bedside, appropriate surgical management decisions can be made.

“....Soft Tissue setting is great for procedures. In my experience with erector spinae and ESP blocks, the needle visualisation is excellent. Good for vascular access as well.”
